IMPORTANT SAFETY LIMIT
Maximum total load: 200kg
This includes all occupants, mattress, bedding and other belongings. Distribute weight evenly across the platform. Do not exceed the maximum total load.
01 / INSTALLATION
How to fit your PV5 bed
No tools required for installation. Follow these five steps in order.
1. Prepare the vehicle
Park on level ground, open the tailgate and fold the rear seatbacks forwards as required.
2. Fit the front board
Insert the first board through the tailgate and slide it towards the rear seats, making sure it rests correctly on the vehicle side supports.
3. Fit the rear board
Lift the second board through the tailgate, with its joining edge facing the front board.
4. Join the sections
Engage the aluminium joining channel with the front-board edge, then lower the rear board until both sections lie flat and level.
5. Check before use
Ensure both boards are supported, the joining edges are correctly engaged and the platform is stable.
Removing the bed
Reverse the installation process. Lift and disengage the rear board first, then withdraw the front board. Take care not to catch or damage the vehicle’s interior trim.
02 / SAFETY
Important safety information
- Do not stand, jump or put excessive concentrated weight on the boards or their edges.
- Never use or occupy the bed while the vehicle is moving.
- Before driving, ensure both boards are securely restrained against movement or removed and safely stowed. Do not obstruct seats, seatbelts or vehicle safety equipment.
- Do not allow children to play on or underneath the platform unsupervised.
- Keep the platform away from naked flames, portable heaters and excessive heat.
- Do not use the platform if any part is damaged, loose or incorrectly positioned.
- Do not modify the boards, aluminium joining channels or other components.
03 / MAINTENANCE
Care & maintenance
- Vacuum the carpet regularly. Clean marks with a damp cloth and suitable mild upholstery cleaner.
- Avoid soaking the carpet or exposing the plywood to excessive moisture. Dry fully before storage.
- Periodically inspect boards, aluminium joining sections and fixings for wear, damage or looseness.
- Avoid dragging sharp or abrasive objects across the carpet.
04 / HANDLING
Storage & handling
- Store boards flat in a clean, dry place when not in use.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, direct sunlight or excessive heat.
- Do not place heavy items on top of the boards during storage.
- Lift and carry with care to avoid injury or damage to the vehicle interior.
05 / SUPPORT
Warranty & support
Your PV5 Beds sleeping platform includes a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects, subject to our warranty terms. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
