Kia PV5 Beds – Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our removable sleeping platform for the Kia PV5 Passenger.

Can you sleep in a Kia PV5 Passenger?

Yes. PV5 Beds provides a removable, two-piece sleeping platform designed specifically for the Kia PV5 Passenger. With the rear seat backs folded down, the platform creates a rigid sleeping base, allowing you to use the vehicle for overnight stays without installing permanent campervan furniture. The bed is intended for use when the vehicle is safely parked.

Is there a removable bed available for the Kia PV5 Passenger?

Yes. PV5 Beds manufactures a removable sleeping platform specifically for the Kia PV5 Passenger. It consists of two carpet-covered plywood sections joined by a reinforced aluminium channel. The sections can be separated and removed when you want to return the vehicle to everyday use.

Will PV5 Beds fit the Kia PV5 Cargo or other Kia models?

Our current bed platform is purpose-designed for the Kia PV5 Passenger. Compatibility with the PV5 Cargo, other PV5 seating configurations or different Kia models has not been confirmed. Please contact us before ordering if your vehicle differs from the PV5 Passenger.

Does installing the PV5 bed require drilling or permanent modifications?

No. The PV5 Beds platform is designed to use the Kia PV5 Passenger’s existing interior layout and boot geometry. It does not require drilling holes in the vehicle or installing a permanent campervan interior. The bed sections can be removed when they are not needed.

How do you install the PV5 Beds sleeping platform?

First, fold down the rear seat backs of your Kia PV5 Passenger. Position the two bed platform sections in the vehicle and slot them together using the aluminium joining channel. The system is designed for straightforward, tool-free assembly and removal, without permanent fixings to the vehicle. Always check that the platform is correctly positioned before use.

Watch our installation video and read the complete fitting, safety and care guide.

How quickly can the PV5 bed be installed and removed?

The platform is designed for quick installation and removal. Its simple two-piece construction and slot-in aluminium joint mean there is no complicated assembly process or permanent fitting. The time required will depend on how your vehicle is arranged and how familiar you are with the process.

What are the dimensions and sleeping length of the Kia PV5 bed?

Maximum sleeping length: 1,930mm. With the rear seats folded, the PV5 Beds platform creates a sleeping arrangement with up to 1,930mm of available length, measured from the top edge of the folded seatbacks to the closed tailgate.

The two wooden platform sections have the following dimensions:

  • Platform width: approximately 1,500mm.
  • Front board depth: 690mm.
  • Rear board depth: 465mm.
  • Combined board depth: 1,155mm.

The 1,155mm measurement is the combined depth of the wooden boards, whereas 1,930mm is the maximum available sleeping length when the rear seatbacks are folded down. The platform is designed to be used with a suitable sleeping mattress.

The boards are shaped to suit the vehicle interior, so the overall width is approximate. Please check your intended mattress arrangement before ordering.

What materials are used to make PV5 Beds?

The platform is manufactured from 18mm hardwood plywood, selected for its balance of rigidity, durability and manageable weight. An aluminium joining channel connects and reinforces the two sections. Both sections are finished in automotive four-way stretch carpet to provide a practical, vehicle-friendly finish.

How strong is the PV5 Beds platform?

The PV5 Beds platform is designed to provide a strong, rigid sleeping base for two adults. It is constructed from 18mm hardwood plywood, with a reinforced aluminium joining system that supports the connection between the two platform sections.

Maximum combined weight: 200kg, including both users, mattress and bedding. This weight limit applies to the total load placed on the sleeping platform.

Can I still use my Kia PV5 boot when the bed is not needed?

Yes. The removable two-piece design allows the platform sections to be separated, stacked or taken out of the vehicle. Unlike a permanently installed campervan bed frame, the system is designed to give you flexibility between sleeping use and everyday boot storage. Available storage space will depend on how the sections and your other belongings are arranged.

How much does a PV5 Beds sleeping platform cost?

The PV5 Beds two-piece sleeping platform costs £495, plus £65 flat-rate delivery to addresses in England, Scotland and Wales only. The total is £560 including delivery. We do not currently deliver to other destinations.

How long does delivery take, and where do you deliver?

We aim to maintain stock where possible, but please allow approximately 10–15 working days for manufacture and dispatch. Your order will be securely packaged and dispatched by FedEx courier, with a signature required on delivery. Courier transit time depends on your location.

Where we deliver: We currently deliver to addresses in England, Scotland and Wales only. Delivery costs £65 per order, regardless of postcode.

Where we do not currently deliver: Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, other European Union countries, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.

This restriction reflects additional regulatory and administrative requirements associated with certain destinations. We may review our delivery coverage in the future.

Can I return my PV5 bed if I change my mind?

Yes. For online consumer purchases, you normally have 14 days after delivery to notify us that you wish to cancel. You then have a further 14 days to return the product. The fact that a standard bed base may be manufactured after ordering does not, by itself, remove your statutory cancellation rights.

For change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for arranging and paying for return carriage. Due to the size and weight of the product, the estimated return courier cost is approximately £100. We refund the product price and standard outbound delivery charge in accordance with your statutory rights. Please contact us for return instructions.

Does PV5 Beds come with a warranty?

Yes. PV5 Beds provides a 12-month warranty against qualifying defects in materials or workmanship arising under normal use. The warranty does not cover accidental damage, misuse, overloading, modification or normal wear and tear. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected. If you experience a problem, contact us so we can assess it.
